Andrew Udelsman
Andrew Udelsman is a trial attorney with Freidin Brown, P.A., handling catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and prisoner rights cases from beginning to end.
Andrew graduated cum laude from Yale University in 2010 and went on to obtain his law degree from Yale Law School. During law school, he was a student director of the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, which litigates Freedom of Information Act cases against the CIA, FBI, NSA, and other governmental agencies.
Following law school, Andrew clerked for several judges, including Justice Lidia Stiglich of the Supreme Court of Nevada, Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood of the U.S. District Court of Guam, and Judge Beth Bloom of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. His extensive clerkship experience has refined his legal research and writing skills and provides him with a unique perspective on how to best present his clients’ cases to a judge.
Prior to joining Freidin Brown, P.A., Andrew was a staff attorney with the Florida Justice Institute, where he represented individuals with disabilities and developed a class action lawsuit on behalf of people incarcerated in a prison in South Florida. Before that he served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Las Vegas, defending individuals sentenced to the death penalty, and also worked for the Texas Civil Rights Project, where he defended immigrants’ rights. As is clear from his background, Andrew’s goal has always been to remedy injustice in all its forms, and he is known for tirelessly fighting for his clients.
Andrew is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese.
